Sarah K. Austin specializes in civil rights and other complex civil litigation. She graduated with Order of the Coif honors from UCLA School of Law, where she was an editor for the UCLA Law Review. Before joining us, Sarah spent a year at Pine Tree Legal Assistance representing low-income Mainers in eviction proceedings and related civil matters. She also served as a law clerk for Judge William J. Kayatta, Jr., on the First Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals and for Chief Judge Jon D. Levy on the Maine U.S. District Court. While in law school, Sarah worked at two public defenders’ offices, a private civil rights firm, and California’s state civil rights agency.
