Jeffrey Neil Young is a graduate of Brown University and Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He represents employees and unions in employment disputes, concentrating on age, sex, race and disability discrimination cases as well as claims for unpaid wages and family or medical leave violations. Jeff is one of the few Maine lawyers named as a Super Lawyer for Plaintiffs – Employment Discrimination. He has been recognized by his peers in Best Lawyers in America (Employment Law – Individuals), Who’s Who, and Chambers USA. In 2012 Jeff received the first Equal Justice Hero Award from the Maine Equal Justice Partners and in 2007 he was named the Disability Rights Center’s Lawyer of the Year. He has served as co-chair of the Maine State Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section. He has also been a chapter editor for BNA’s Employment Discrimination Law treatise. Before law school, he was a union organizer for the Service Employees International Union.
