Carol J. Garvan specializes in employment, civil rights, and complex litigation. She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and earned her law degree from U.C. Berkeley School of Law, where she served as a Supervising Editor of the California Law Review and an editor of the Gender, Law & Justice journal. Carol clerked for Judge Kermit Lipez of the U.S. First Circuit Court of Appeals and Justice Mark Simons of the California Court of Appeal. She has been recognized as a New England Rising Star by Super Lawyers. Before law school, Carol taught middle school in Oakland, California. She lives with her husband and daughters in Gardiner, Maine.
